In this video, I transfer Digital 8 footage from a Sony DCR-TRV103 camcorder to a file format using a new Windows 10 machine. The IEEE 1394 interface can be hooked up to most DVD recorders, but I try out the LinksTek PCIE FireWire Card.

The footage was shot on a Sony DCR-TRV103 Digital 8 camcorder (that no longer functions). Playback was on a different DCR-TRV103 that was purchased used at a later date. The footage I demonstrate was shot in the stands at the Chevy 500 Indy Car Race at Texas Motor Speedway on September 15, 2002.

The entire race as broadcast on ABC has been uploaded by another channel. It is available HERE:

Correction: At 5:24, I say that I am using PowerDirector 18. The machine used in this demonstration actually has an installation of PowerDirector 15.
