Session Five Questions

1 Timothy 3 & 2 Timothy 2 & Titus 1 & 1 Peter 5

1. What are your personal concepts (and misconceptions) of leaders? Have you seen, experienced, or been a part of an abusive Church situation? What did you do to remedy the pain in your own life from that experience?

2. Rewrite in your own words what you think Paul & Peter (combined) are giving leaders as the character qualities and ministry activities they should be regularly functioning in? Personally, evaluate your own life in regards to what you've read? Are there areas that you need to ask the Lord to heal or mature?

3. From 1 Timothy 1 & 4, what are some errors that result in people falling away from the Lord? Are there errors that have led you away that you can ask God to forgive and give greater discernment?

James 3:13-18

4. A primary function of leadership is wisdom (not advice). From this passage what can you personally learn and grow from in areas of your own weaknesses?

5. CONTINUED with alteration Assignment: pray in tongues 15-30 minutes a day - write down the revelation that comes from that experience. Two times pray in tongues with another person (facetime, phone or in person). What is the difference in dynamics? Did you feel like you were getting interpretation? If so, what?

6. CONTINUED Assignment: give a “Word Of Knowledge” (not prophecy) at every gathering you are at this next week, and give three to individuals outside of a Christian environment - write down the result, impact, and how it affected you.

7. CONTINUED Assignment: share the Gospel (to the best of your ability) with someone this week who doesn’t know Jesus. Pray with them if possible. Ask them if they would like to receive Jesus and lead them in a prayer if they do. - share the story here.
