Flying the DJI Pocket Osmo Camera (make a fake drone shot ... easy!)

Flying the Osmo Pocket works great on the original DJI Osmo Pocket or the newer DJI Pocket 2. We use ours a lot now that we practiced with it a bit. You can make shots that look like a crane or jib shot, a drone video or even an FPV drone. Cool shots ... with low cost gear.

Video was shot with the DJI Osmo Pocket Camera: 2k-60fps. You can definitely make a fake drone shot using this technique.

Rea was shooting with a Sony a5100: 1080p-30fps on a FeiyTech a2000 gimbal.

Overall it does pretty well. Setting it up to use "Follow" is a bit troublesome but can be done. I think with practice, using the Osmo on a pole to get some crane or drone style shots is very doable. It could add some really interesting shots to your production. I do think the Osmo Pocket beats the GoPro or DJI Action cams for this application.
