July is the month in which we celebrate the birth of America.

On this program, you’ll see a preview of a new documentary from our Providence Forum outreach, The Road to Independence, which looks at the causes for America’s separation into a new nation—including the religious causes that are often now ignored.

Then, Dr. Kennedy explains that even though the desire for religious freedom was central to the founding of America, a horrendous lie arose in the 20th century that not only separated us from our founding principles, but essentially drove God and Christianity out of our government and public life.

Today this lie is so pervasive that most people accept it as gospel truth. But it is no gospel at all—in fact, it’s just the opposite.
