Brood war with Kerrigan's Omega over Char

4 years later... The single player campaign will take place in and around Koprulu, 4 years after the Brood War (2505-2506). During this time, all three races experienced dramatic changes:
The protoss people inhabit Shakuras, the home of the Dark Templars. Due to the long-standing conflict between the Dark Templar and the Khala, the protoss have been almost culturally and socially divided and degenerated into tribes.
Some factions want to return to Aiur and restore it to prosperity, others have given up. As the new leader after the matriarch, Artanis is constantly trying to balance the playing field.
Yet the relationship between the Dark Templar and Khala breeds not only conflict, but also new weapons of war that combine technology from both sides.
The main Terran inhabitants of Koprulu are Mengsk's imperial dynasty, the Kel-Morian coalition, and many other factions. Mengsk spent the next four years rebuilding his empire after his defeat at Omega.
And, of course, the Zerg. After the Brood battle, Kerrigan has retreated to Char and is gathering her troops for the long-awaited final blow. For four years her side had been decidedly quiet.
