The Perfect City

Beautiful homes are to be given away in the Perfect City. The Lord Jesus tells of this city: “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).

It is a City with Many Homes "In My Father's house are many mansions" (John 14:2).

This is… a City without Tears, Pain or Death. "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Revelation 21:4). Everything is New "...I make all things new" (Revelation 21:5).

It is a City of Great Beauty "He... shewed me that great city... Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal (Revelation 21:10-11). A City with Pure Water Supply "And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb" (Revelation 22:1). It’s a City with Abundant Fruit "On either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month…" (Revelation 22:2).

It is a City without Hunger or Thirst "They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more…" (Revelation 7:16-17). A City without Tears “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” (Revelation 7:17). A City without Sin "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life" (Revelation 21:27).

We cannot describe the beauty, splendour, and glory of Heaven: "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" (1 Corinthians 2:9). There stands the awesome throne of God, perfect angels, and a street of transparent gold. In that heavenly city wondrous trees grow beside a sparkling river of life. There They Eat of the Tree of Life "To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God" (Revelation 2:7).

Heaven is a place of everlasting life. There They Rest from Their Labours "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them" (Revelation 14:13). All pain, all death, all sighing shall flee away.

It’s a City with Perfect Government – it’s where God's throne is. Revelation 4:2 …behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. Heaven is supremely governed by God Himself.
It’s City with Perfect Worship. "They... serve Him day and night, in His temple... and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever…" (Revelation 7:15, 4:10-11).

All of the pain, the sorrow and grief of earth are past forever. In Heaven there will be no sickness, no hospitals, no poverty, no cripples, no blindness. There will be no death, no broken homes, no prisons... In Heaven there is perfect security. There is joy unspeakable and full of glory. Heaven is a place of perfect righteousness. No sin can enter there.

It’s a place of unspeakable beauty. A beautiful street, paved with gold like transparent glass. Heaven is a place of perfect sight, perfect light. Nothing that stains or soils.

There’s only One Way to the City. Jesus said, "l am the WAY… no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6). "As many as received Him (The Lord Jesus), to them gave He power to become the sons of God…" (John 1:12).

There’s Free Transportation to the City. The Lord Jesus said, "I will come again, and receive you (who have trusted Me as your Saviour from sin) unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" (John 14:3). Heaven is a place of reward. Our Lord says, Great is your reward in Heaven (Matthew 5:12). There is laid up an inheritance incorruptible (1 Peter 1:4).

We will abide in the very presence of God forever. Here we find "pleasures for evermore" (Psalm 16:11).

Let us "Lay up treasures... not on earth, but in Heaven." Invest in souls; invest in Bibles; invest in missionaries; invest in spreading the Gospel around the world.

Our Lord called Heaven the "Father's House" (John 14:2), and a father's house is also a children's home.

Heaven is a Prepared Place For Prepared People. Do you have plans for residence in this "better country"? Paul refers to our citizenship as being "in heaven, from which also we look for the Saviour" (Philippians 3:20).

Free Titles are offered to Homes of the City. Every child of God has Eternal Life. Jesus said, "He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him (God) that sent Me, hath everlasting life" (John 5:24).
Now is the preparation Time for Entering the City "Behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). "Seek those things which are above" (Colossians 3:1).
Heaven is not only a real place but it is our eternal dwelling place, if we are His children.
