The Jan. 6 committee’s hearing Tuesday revealed new details about the rift between Donald Trump and Mike Pence leading up to the capitol riot. 
Pence told Trump during a Jan. 5 phone call that he would not block the certification of electoral votes. At this point, Trump reportedly hurled expletives towards his vice-president and called him a “coward”. 
An hour after that call, Mike Pence publicly stated that he would vote to certify the election results and that Joe Biden would be the next president.
