What is the passage saying?
-What does this mean for me?
1.) v.41 Jesus did not seek glory or to make a name for Himself
-I should seek to honor and glorify God not myself
2.) v.42 Jesus recognized they had no love for God- selfishly motivated
-I should be careful not to confuse my selfish ambitions (or others) with a love for God
3.) v.43 People accept self promoters more than God promoters
-I should promote God and be okay if people don't like me
4.) v.44 They sought glory from each other but not from God
-I should seek to be approved by God
5.) v.45-47 They prided themselves in the Law but did not understand it
-I should be careful of missing the forest in the trees
