Video reveals shockingly slow police response to Uvalde, Texas school shooting

Leaked surveillance footage from inside Robb Elementary School during the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas seems to contradict what many gun advocates say is the best response to a shooting: a "good guy with a gun."

Footage shows heavily armed police officers standing in the hallways of the school as the shooting continued, ultimately killing 19 students and two teachers.

The video published Tuesday by the Austin American-Statesman is a disturbing 80-minute recording of what has been known for weeks now about one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history: that heavily armed police officers, some armed with rifles and bulletproof shields, massed in the hallway and waited more than an hour before going inside and stopping the May 24 massacre.
