Finished the knife sheaths and sharing some things I've learned along the way.
For the longest time, fitting the 1/4 inch pins, through the 1/4 inch holes drilled through the steel and both sides of the handle was way more difficult than it should be. To remedy it, I started taking a 1/4 inch bit and wiggling it around a bit with the drill turning in the hole. That worked somewhat but left oblong holes that epoxy would seep into and looked awful. The reamer solved all those problems.Another thing I learned was that the wood needed to be 100% square when drilling through it for the pins. Now, before I even mix the epoxy, I do a couple of assembly dry runs just to be sure it will all go well when I spread the epoxy on the knife and handles.
