A CROW CAWING ATOP A FLAMBOYANT TREE OF GORGEOUS ORANGISH-RED FLOWERS

Crows, which are of the avian family Corvidae, & to which same family, incidentally, belong ravens, magpies, rooks, & jays, are of the animals of Planet Earth that the Creator created with remarkable intelligence.
With regard to scientific investigations into this matter of animal intelligence related to crows, while some of the methodology of some researchers are flawed & their conclusions fantastical, not all are. But a major systemic "shoot self in self's own foot" problem with atheistic, Darwinistic modernday so-called scientists is that they are, well, atheistic and Darwinistic -- that is, denying God & the fact patterns in nature that point to Him as Creator & near Sustainer, & thus attempting to attribute to "evolution" what He ought to be getting the glory for.
So, the smarts of crows to be tool-utilizers & even tool-makers as well as to being able to ascertain a causer is behind, for example, a stick having motion is to be attributed to their Maker, not to some fabled spontaneous adaptive development originating from somewhere within the creature itself, which creature itself, per the particular myth-preferring minds, suddenly had its own inception by mere chance out of nothing or deified infinitesimal speck.¹ If indeed crows can differentiate humans who did them some real injustice or misperceived "injustice" while wearing a particular mask from other humans who demonstrated benevolence towards them & they thus construct a protocol to protect themselves & their communities going forward & perform outbursts of cawing, etc, whenever the personalities identified as past ill-will conveyers or potential threats are present (referred to as "scolding"), then it is the Almighty who made them to have those instincts for their survival.²  If indeed crows conduct elaborate funerary practices to obituary their dead & to obtain information as to what might have killed their member & consequently scold & evade the same or similar danger,³ then to be credited for that is the One who says, "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows" (Luke 12:6-7).
Generally not regarded as beautiful & welcome-worthy birds due to their dark coloration from beak to feet & also the unfortunate superstitions forced upon them (which, relatedly, as if all this was not bad enough for the poor crows, someone, likely due to these same unwarranted prejudicial ways of thinking, decided to codify "murder" to mean "a flock of crows"!), crows are nonetheless precious avian creatures of Yahweh, as are, for that matter, ravens, the relatives of crows that are similarly generally viewed as crows.
Speaking of ravens, that there is differentiation to be recognized between what is generally considered a crow from what is generally considered to be a raven is actually a thing. For example, it has been noted that ravens are typically much larger in size than crows; exhibit a croaking call whereas crows caw, rattle, & produce other high-pitched sounds; ravens have larger beaks that curve downwards; & their tails have an apex sort of look towards the end due to a long middle feather whereas crows have a tail that is more rounded at the end, sort of like a hand-held fan.
However, besides that even the nomen "corvus" is said to be Latin for "raven" while others say it is for "crow," & even beyond Latin the labels "crow" & "raven" were interchangeable, it appears that there were enough similarities between these types in the eyes of the ancients (especially with regard to their black coloration & general look) that they were apparently, accurately or inaccurately, considered as the same family of bird & perhaps even, in some cases, the same species, one being a subspecies of the other.
In any event, for me to think of these black birds, be they crows or be they ravens, these black birds that are community-oriented, thought to be typically monogamous, & reportedly a "gift"-giving avian species, is to usually at once ponder how that Noah, by the wisdom granted him by God, commissioned, along with a dove, an עֹרֵב, oreb (o-rabe'), translated "raven" in the KJV (Strong's # 6158), to determine to what degree the waters of the Flood were decreasing so that Noah & his family in the Ark could know when they & the animals could disembark to dry land. (Consult Genesis 8:7.) Similarly, I think of the Almighty using "ravens" to carry food to Elijah the prophet subsequent to Elijah prophesying there would ensue a drought due to the wickedness of the Israeli government at the time, & the same word oreb is name of the species in this case, also. (Reference 1 Kings 17:1-7.)
Now, featured here in this video is an American crow (Corvidae brachyrhynchos) atop a royal poiciana (a.k.a. Delonix regia, flame tree or flamboyant, so named for obvious reasons), the occasionally cawing crow's gorgeous somber black plumage, beak, & legs standing in such stark contrast to the light blue sky & the green bi-pinnate leaves & bloom-containing bulbs & the orangish-red of the blooms of the tropical tree. A beautiful experience indeed!
