W&R: Bayahibe ⛵️ Dominican Republic

Bayahibe Dominican Republic is located on the SE side of Hispaniola. 1.5 hour drive from either Punta Cana or Santo Domingo. 5 - 6 hour drive from the Sosua/Cabarete area on the North Coast which is where we live. The drive down is actually quite beautiful especially RT 5 through Nagua and the toll road down to Boca Chica / SDQ.

Amazing beaches, cool little beach bars, tasty food and the sleepy little village of Bayahibe is what makes this part of the Dominican Republic fun.

We stayed at the Alkquimia Hotel Lounge and Bar in Dominicus which is about a 5-10 minute drive from the village. This hotel is not beach front nor will you find beach access without a resort pass.
