In June, BABYMETAL joined American metal band Korn's Serenity of Summer tour for several shows,
alongside other openers Stone Sour, Yelawolf and Islander. Just like all preceding shows of the tour,
most of the attendees on June 22nd at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View,
California were traditional American metal fans: tattoos, biker jackets, chains, cigarettes and
beer were their identifiers.
Nevertheless, there was a dedicated group of fans at the very front of the mosh pit who were there
for the “kawaii metal” trio. Many of these fans were spending their summer vacation following
BABYMETAL tour with Korn, driving to each city across America.
BABYMETAL's backing band, the Kami Band, a group of ghostly figures in white robes and white
face paint, came out first on stage to loud cheers. Many audience members didn't realize that the
backup band wasn't BABYMETAL, but that was soon remedied.
A solemn female voice recited an introduction about the mythos surrounding the spirit of
heavy metal, concluding with a declaration that “Now is the time for metal resistance with
BABYMETAL.” Right on cue, the Kami Band started to play opening song
BABYMETAL DEATH, each heavy beat of the drum eliciting shouts of “Hey!” from the crowd.
As if summoned by their fans, SU-METAL, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL emerged from the
side of the stage, covered in their black branded towels and walking in perfect synchrony.
They then flung their towels aside and held their hands aloft in the sign of the fox.
A dance sequence followed, punctuated by repetitive lyrics that introduced who the
girls were individually and as a group.Thanx for Watching
Info-
Babymetal (stylized in all caps) is the debut studio album by Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal.
It was first released on February 26, 2014, in Japan through BMD Fox Records, and was re-released
on May 29, 2015, in Europe through earMusic, and June 16, 2015, in the United States through
RED Associated Labels (RAL) and Sony Music Entertainment. Music from the album dates back to
the origins of the band in 2010, and incorporates tracks from their earliest released singles,
back when the band was a sub-unit of the Japanese idol group Sakura Gakuin.
Babymetal received generally positive reviews from music critics. The album managed to peak at
number four on the Oricon Weekly Chart, and has since been certified gold with over 100,000
copies sold in Japan. In the United States, the album debuted at number 187 on the
Billboard 200—a rarity for Japanese acts in the country—and managed to top the World Albums chart.
Two singles from Babymetal, "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" and "Megitsune", gained domestic success,
charting within the top ten in Japan. "Gimme Chocolate!!" became an international success, with its
music video garnering attention overseas and becoming the band's most viewed music video on
YouTube.

Prior to the album's release, Babymetal performed as a sub-unit for the Japanese idol group
Sakura Gakuin from 2010 to 2013,[2] and music that would be included surfaced as early as
October 30, 2010, when the members of the band recorded their vocals for their first song
"Doki Doki ☆ Morning". From 2011 to 2013, the band released five singles inside and outside
Sakura Gakuin, with the most successful single, "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" peaking at number six
on the Oricon Weekly Singles chart.
