On Friday mornings our devotional will come from Samuel Rutherford's Letters.

Today's letter is addressed to Mr. James Hamilton, a minister of the gospel in the County of Down in Northern Ireland. Mr. Hamilton was facing great persecution for his preaching of the gospel of grace, especially from the local bishop. Rutherford encourages him to remember that Christ is His protection and that no matter how hot the fiery darts of the enemies of truth he should always know that King Jesus is His protector and savior.
