The Catholic Church is the oldest and original Christian community. For that reason we have a rich history and spirituality that we do not always fully understand or appreciate. In this series, designed for both new and seasoned Catholics (as well as for curious non-Catholics) we look at certain particularly Catholic things and explain their origin and purpose. We will cover:
• Why do Catholics make the Sign of the Cross?
• Why are Catholic Bibles larger than Protestant Bibles?
• Why do Catholics follow Apostolic Tradition?
• Why do Catholics worship using seven sacraments?
• Why do Catholics believe in Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist?
• What is the purpose of Catholics using holy water and other sacramentals?
• Why are Catholics led by the pope?
• Why do Catholics honor Mary and the Saints so much?
• Why do Catholics believe in Purgatory? and,
