UPDATE: BRAKE CALIPER LOCKUP CONTIBUTED TO CRASH. After getting the bike on my lift at the suggestion of others on the Honda Deauville forum on Facebook, I found the front brakes are sticking. I was fairly certain I had not grabbed the front brake, and had used the rear pedal, but these are linked brakes and while full pressure is not exerted by the pedal, some is generally exerted. Front brakes would have been hot after dragging on my highway run, complicating an already risky situation. More video coming after I examine the brakes in detail.

First off, I'm fine thanks. Have a knot on my hip, but I'm ok. Bike's fine too, just a little plastic off the slider, and some metal off the shifter and center stand.

All I wanted to do was go to a car meet, and have a nice talk to the airwaves as it were. I start off chatting about the "Facebook whistleblower" and the weird stuff Facebook censors, then get on the highway for a bit on my way to the car meet. When I get to Park City Mall, that's when someone slams on their brakes unexpectedly and everything goes sideways. On the bright side, I got to test my armored jacket.

This is shared so others can learn from my experiences. Caveats and disclaimers are at the beginning of the video. If you have nothing constructive to say, move along. The number of people who like or dislike the video is inconsequential, so that feature is disabled at time of posting.
