Facebook/Meta Rights Manager is bombarding creators with false copyright claims where some publishers claim ownership to content that doesn't belong to them. It’s making uploading videos here, and on other platforms, more difficult than ever before. #FixFacebook #FixRightsManager

On our Perspective Potterheads page, I play Hogwarts Mystery live through Facebook Gaming. I have the game volume off or incredibly low so people can hear me reading the text and just talking about whatever is on my mind. Today, I got an alert that said they muted about 5 minutes of my content. Because of this, I can't download it to upload my video to the YouTube channel.

I know other creators who have this same issue. Sounds or images that are freely available to anyone, another creator can use in their video. Then they claim a copyright that doesn't actually belong to them. If you use those freely available sounds or images, they'll flag it as being their copyright. And if you're a monetized page, they'll take your money! (I'm inclined to believe it's bots or people working for Meta to get more money.)

Our Perspective Potterheads page is just for fun, but with the hopes that one day it could be monetized. That's never going to happen until we #FixFacebook #FixRightsManager
