President Joe Biden was confronted at the White House lawn by Manuel Oliver, the father of a Parkland victim, who was then escorted during Biden’s address. The Majority Report crew discuss how the bill gives law enforcement more discretion and the bipartisan bill is something Republicans can use for reelection this upcoming midterm election. The MR crew also talk about how Illinois has red flag laws and the Highland Park shooter was still able to legally get a gun despite having prior incidents with law enforcement in which he had his knives taken away.

Since we got to uh speak about uh gun control here is Joe Biden at the white house lawn giving a speech with a gun control activist one of whom Emanuel Oliver whose son Joaquin died in the Parkland shooting and here is him registering his issue with how far we have gone in terms of doing any type of regulation of guns in this country...
I mean also this bipartisan bill they should sink it in the house. I mean this is- they're going out there they won't they won't at all because they don't want to be responsible for the one piece of legislation that could pass through the senate going away, but it is um really largely is much of a testament to the failure of being able to pass any type of decent gun control as it is to anything else really.
