THE LEGEND OF DOOM HOUSE 1971 (aka MALPERTUIS in Belgium) - A bedridden occultist (Orson Welles) is about to divide his wealthy estate to his heirs, but only if they commit to stay on the premises for a given time. The mansion is a labyrinth of corridors, staircases, and secret chambers, and the heirs are being horribly murdered.

This is the Director's version in French with English subtitles. The English language version of the film that premiered at the 1972 Cannes Film Festival had been edited by the American distributor from this version. It was later edited further by other distributors. Director Harry Kumel restored the uncut version of the film, released in 1973 as "the director's cut". This version is 20 minutes longer, containing some of the best scenes of the film which had been edited out.
