Hi, I'm Phil Bridges, owner of Straight Arrow Repair. Ever want to know how a repairman fixes things? Well come with me, and I'll show you how I solve problems. Let's make things better together.

For those of you who wonder about your metal roof and what would happen if you never sealed it, first of all, it would leak all around the outside edge behind your metal siding, slash masonite siding.

And I'll show you how. See right here? That will ruin behind the metal siding. Go down to your floor and ruin the floor and you'll be like why in the world am I getting a soft floor right here in the hallway or down the wall. You won't see it in the living room because of the couch up against the furniture your bedroom. You won't see it until you move the furniture around and you'll feel the soft. Sometimes windows cause that also.

But see this here, believe it or not this is what the gutter does is holds that.

This roof from blowing away. If you take this gutt off the wind will blow the roof away.

So, what we need to do is clean out the gutter. Seal this with tar fill all that up and then we're going to coat it with the elasomeric coating. But we have a unique situation on this roof, the vent is gone, so water has been running down inside there, and probably done damage.

So I'm going to go get a vent and I'll show you how I do that and we'll seal that up. But that's kind of unusual. There's only one plumbing vent in the whole house, so only one vent is leaking. Okay, so here we go. We'll see you later.

This is Phil Bridges, if you like what you saw and think it might be helpful to somebody else, push that like button and let other people know what you and I know, and we'll work together toward making a brighter future. By the way, we're not Amera-Can'ts, we're Americans. See you next time.
