“Then Samson prayed the LORD “Sovereign LORD, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.”
Judges 16:28 (NLT)

• If someone missed it and such genuinely repented, God would remember him or her again (1 John 1:9).
- Samson did pray that God would remember him, and God honoured the prayer, He did not forsake Him completely (Judges 16:28).
- God will give you another chance, if you repent of your bad or evil deeds and call on Him, He is the God of second chance. God will not outright cast you away (Judges 16:22).

“But before long, his hair began to grow back.
Judged 16:22(NKJV)

"He [Samson] prayed, “Let me die with the Philistines.” And the temple crashed down on the Philistine rulers and all the people. So, he killed more people when he died than he had during his entire lifetime.”
Judges 16:30 (NLT)

• Value the grace of God on your life.
- If God bestowed His grace on your life, anoint you for a particular purpose, or you have the call of God on your life; you would do well to value what He has bestowed on you, endowed you with.
- Samson did not value God's grace on his life, he failed to discipline himself; he did gratify the desires of the flesh (Colossians 3:5,6; Ephesians 2:3; Romans 6:12,13; 13:14;. Galatians 5:24).

12. “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
Romans 6:12,13 (NKJV)

- Samson was carefree and being frivolous, he plays about with sin without any remorse.

• If God has made you a leader through the gift bestowed on you, you are chosen or appointed to lead, or you are anointed to lead; you must not disappoint God who enlisted you—you must not betray the trust He reposes or places in you (Romans 12:6-8)

6. “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
7. or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
8. he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”
Romans 12:6-8 (NKJV)

- If God appointed you to lead, you are His representative, ambassador; He counts on you and He wants you to perform well. You should not let Him down.

• Samson lost the grace, the anointing, of God on his life because of indiscipline—he lacked discipline.
- Those who are called to work for the Lord, lead the people of God, are Soldiers; thus, they must discipline and comport themselves.

3. “You therefore must endure hardship as a GOOD SOLDIER of Jesus Christ.
4. No one ENGAGED in warfare ENTANGLES himself with the AFFAIRS of this LIFE, that he may please him who ENLISTED him as a SOLDIER.”
2 Timothy 2:3,4 (NKJV)

- Soldiers are disciplined and are not carefree. A frivolous soldier would be sanctioned.

• Samson disdained, treated with contempt, the grace of God on His life.
- He did allow desires for sin to override other things in his life: uncontrollable and insatiable sexual appetites (Judges 16:1,4).
- Nothing should be important to you than the call of God upon your life: the assignment given to you, and the grace or anointing to fulfil the assignment (2 Timothy 2:19-22)

19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let EVERYONE who NAMES the name of Christ DEPART from INIQUITY.”
20. “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.
21. Therefore if anyone CLEANSES himself from the latter, he will be a VESSEL for HONOR, sanctified and USEFUL for the MASTER, prepared for every GOOD WORK.
22. FLEE also YOUTHFUL LUSTS; but PURSUE righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who CALL on the LORD out of a PURE HEART ❤️ .”
2 Timothy 2:19-22 (NKJV)

- If you are living in sin and it seems the anointing on your life is still flowing or working, that suggests there is a danger ahead (Judges 16:1-14, 18-20).
- Samson indulged in sexual sin, lived an immoral life, and continued in it because of the evidence of the anointing on his life; even when he was living in sin (Judges 16:3,9,12,14).
All the while he was committing sin, the anointing on him was still at work.

19. “Then she [Delilah] lulled him [Samson] to sleep on her knees and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and HIS STRENGTH LEFT HIM.
20. And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So, he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I WILL GO OUT AS BEFORE, at other times, and shake myself free!” BUT HE DID NOT KNOW THAT THE LORD HAD DEPARTED FROM HIM.”
Judges 16,19,20 (NKJV)

• If you live in sin and it seems things are still going on well in your work, ministry or whatever; it could suggest that God has reserved you for judgement (Hebrews 10:26-31).

26. “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
27. BUT A CERTAIN FEARFUL EXPECTATION OF JUDGMENT, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
28. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the BLOOD of the COVENANT by which he was SANCTIFIED a COMMON thing, and INSULTED the SPIRIT of GRACE?
30. For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will JUDGE HIS PEOPLE."
31. It is a FEARFUL thing to fall into the HANDS of the LIVING GOD.”
Hebrews 10:26-31 (NKJV)

- Do not wait to be Judged by God, repent quickly that you may not regret (1 Corinthians 12:31,32)

31. “For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
32. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.”
1 Corinthians 12:31,32 (NKJV)

• Samson died with the heathens before his time, he ended his ministry abruptly because he lacked discipline.
- Although God did honour his prayer, He gave him another chance to deal with his enemies; however, it was not the best.
- God does not want you to die with the enemies, a shameful death for that matter.
- Any sin in your life that would not make you fulfil your assignment should be dealt with. There is no fun in sin.
Do not trade the grace of God on your life for temporary pleasures of sin.

24. “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
25. choosing rather to SUFFER AFFLICTION with the people of God than to enjoy the PASSING [temporary] PLEASURES of SIN,
26. ESTEEMING the REPROACH of CHRIST greater RICHES than the TREASURES in EGYPT; for he LOOKED to the REWARD.”
Hebrews 11:24-26 (NKJV)

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
