According to Russian media, in accordance with the fourth round of EU sanctions against Russia, the import ban on goods such as cement and alcohol in Russia will take effect on the 10th.
These goods will not be able to be transported to Kaliningrad, Russia through EU member states such as Lithuania, after Russia warned that it would take tough measures against Lithuania and the EU.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania said on June 20 that according to EU sanctions against Russia, the shipment of sanctioned products to Kaliningrad will be prohibited.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said on July 8 that Russia is continuing its dialogue with the European Commission and Lithuania on the Kaliningrad issue, and the European side has promised to end the issue soon.
The governor of Russia's Kaliningrad region has submitted draft measures to deal with Lithuania's blockade, saying some of the measures "could be devastating to Lithuania"
