Safariland Holster (DEADLY Design Flaw!)

After receiving my level II Safariland holster for my FN 509T, I immediately noticed a flaw that seemed to be a leftover design for the level III. Not only do they use it as a selling point, there seems to be no thought into the actual functionality and safety of the design.
