Colin Kaepernick was essentially blackballed from the NFL three or four years ago for trying to bring awareness to police brutality. He was demonized and vilified by the media...fans...and NFL owners. He tried to rejoin the league last year with his "tryout" in December...but it ended up coming off as a publicity stunt.
