It's worth every penny. I just wish they would make a different way on indicating which mode has been selected. Following the arrows on the tiny screen is hard and then trying to interpret them is even harder.
Love this bread machine!! This is my second one. I had my first machine for over 5 years and literally wore it out. I used it several times a week making bread for family and friends I make a sprouted grain bread and it turns out perfect!
So much better than the dryer version of store bought sprouted grain breads. The picture is of my first loaf with my new machine! !
Ive had this bread maker for 6 years now and I use it every day. It took me a few times to find a recipe that cooks perfectly in the machine. Now that I found it, my bread comes out prefect every time.
Before that, I did have bread come out funky or too big. It just takes finding the right recipe.1 & 1/3 cup water2T sugar2tea sp salt(I swish the salt and sugar around to dissolve before I add the rest of the indigents.
If I dont the bread sometimes comes out uneven in size)A little less than 1/3 cup of veg oil (I leave about 3mm of the measuring cup rim exposed)Then I weigh out 4 cups of bread flour (4.5oz is a true cup of flour).Make a well in the flour and add 2 tea sp bread machine yeastI cook the bread on light setting for softest bread.I put it on a timer to cook while we sleep and we wake up every morning to the smell of fresh baked bread.
We love it! It takes me about 5 min to add ingredients. So worth it for fresh baked bread every day!
I posted pictures, see it yourself. Everything is working perfect, but cooking is horrible. I ordered another unit to see if its going to cooke more even.
If no, Ill say sorry to my cuisinart 100 and returt both Zo.Updating 04/05/2011Im adding 1 more star for second unit. Second one baked the same crust on medium setting, as the first baked on dark crust setting.
Returning first machine.I made plum jam, it came out really good, but I set the jam program twice (3LB plums).Ill keep experimenting for the next 30 days to see if the second unit is a keeper.Updating 4/19Love it.
I made 100 proc whole wheat, sweet breads, italian bread, jam, dough. Its working the way I expected it to work. I make 2-5 breads a week for my family and friends.
5 stars.Updating 5/4Second unit never let me down. All breads came out perfect. I bake lots of sourdough and it bakes much better then my Cuisinart machine.
I use both machines at the same time and Zo bread always fluffier and more prettier. Tonight Im starting my grand baking for the weekend. I need to bring enough bread for 18 people and 3 days stay in vacation house !
Well worth the money. This is my second Zojirushi bread maker. I can not attest to all of the extra features available as I use it primarily in the "Dough" setting.
I then either put the dough in a bread pan, or divide it up to make hamburger buns, dinner rolls, or hot dog buns. I get rave reviews with all of them.
