Oster Expressbake Breadmaker, 2-lb. Loaf Capacity, 2 lb, White/Ivory
My wife is in love with the machine. She already make French Bread in express mode and long version. Also make sweet bread with raisin. This machine is our first so we are very happy with the results.
First she was using all purpose flour.....this week at last we get the one for bread and pizza dough...she also use integral flour....she use it 50/50 with all purpose flour...in all cases the result was great...all bread are raising well...the machine is very simple to use.Great purchase.!
I purchased this after my friend recommended it. She makes wonderful bread and rolls. So I had to ask her whats the secret. She recommended this product and I had to buy it immediately.
It is such a lovely bread maker. It comes with the instructions and recipes. I exactly followed the recipe and they turned out to be amazing. My whole family loves it.
I make good pizzas now. My guests are surprised at how good I am with all these. I stopped purchasing bread a long time back. Yes I would definitely recommend this.
Seems to do pretty good... Just a couple of things;1) Put a wet dish towel under it to prevent it from walking off the counter.2) Read the instruction manual... For those complaining that the dough rises and touches the window, the manual tells you how to fix exactly that issue.3) Bread is not a "set it and forget it" food... You must check the dough to insure its not too wet or dry.
Humidity is a huge factor in ANY bread dough. Most peoples issues with this or ANY bread machine is plain laziness. Read the manual, learn to make bread and the machine will work fine.
Dont read the manual, never look at the dough and the machine will be junk to you, end up in the closet and you will go back to preservative laden store bought crap. Most of the issues people have is addressed in the manual. It has amazed me for some time, people will spend all day on Facebook and Twitter and wont spend 20 minutes reading an instruction manual to something they bought.
Yes, boring, but many things are covered in the manual.Updates. This loaf is the result of adjusting the recipe. If you are having issues with the top collapsing, you need to use LESS water.
And as I stated before, bread is NOT a set it, and forget it food. I took this dough out of the maker and added flour and kneaded the dough until I was happy with the "feel" of the dough.
I only added maybe a tablespoon of flour, but you can see the results. Dough that feels damp has to much water in it, fix it before it starts to bake.
It works! I was replacing my old "Welbilt" breadmaker (built like a tank)- the paddle had some of the finish chipped off and the cost of a new paddle was almost as much as a new breadmaker so decided on a new one.
Its just me, so I make 1.5 lb. loaves.Used to make different breads and doughs in my old one and expect to do the same in this one.Pictures attached is 1.5 lb loaf with crust setting set on Dark.
Medium was just too light for me.
Fantastic Product, Takes a minute of learning curve to make bread comparable to bread you by at the store. Would recommend if you are interested or want a dependable bread machine.
Also comes with a great recipe book. The wife and i really enjoy making loaf in the morning for dinner later that day. For those with Issues with the problems of not rising enough.
