The terrans are relatively new settlers in Koprulu. Centuries earlier,
a group of naysayers had been launched into space by the Earth's government on immigrant ships like cargo in a spectacularly unsuccessful long-distance expedition.
The modern Terran is descended from these people. The survivors of the expedition eventually established three colonized planets that were the main power groups of the terrans: the Federal government, the Kel-Morian Alliance, and the Umojan Protectorate. The corrupt and incompetent federal government was overthrown by the terrorist or revolutionary pioneer Akturas Menske in the chaos caused by the invasion of the alien. Now the Terran empire rose from the ashes of the old Federation, ruled by a single ruler, Arcturus I. The terrans have been forced to adapt to this largely desolate sector, and they have become Kings of survival.
