Adóro te devóte, latens Déitas,
Quae sub his figúris vere látitas:
Tibi se cor meum totum súbiicit,
Quia te contémplans totum déficit.

Visus, tactus, gustus in te fállitur,
Sed audítu solo tuto créditur.
Credo, quidquid dixit Dei Fílius:
Nil hoc verbo Veritátis vérius.

In cruce latébat sola Déitas,
At hic latet simul et humánitas;
Ambo tamen credens atque cónfitens,
Peto quod petívit latro paénitens.

Plagas, sicut Thomas, non intúeor;
Deum tamen meum te confíteor.
Fac me tibi semper magis crédere,
In te spem habére, te dilígere.

O memoriále mortis Dómini!
Panis vivus, vitam práestans hómini!
Praesta meae menti de te vívere.

I devoutly adore you, hidden deity,
Who are truly hidden beneath these appearances.
My whole heart submits to You,
because in contemplating You, it is fully deficient.
Sight, touch, taste all fail in their judgment of you,
But hearing suffices firmly to believe.
I believe all that the Son of God has spoken;
There is nothing truer than this word of Truth.
On the cross only the divinity was hidden,
But here the humanity is also hidden.
Yet believing and confessing both,
I ask for what the penitent thief asked.
I do not see wounds as Thomas did,
But I confess that You are my God.
Make me believe much more in You,
Hope in you, and love You.
O memorial of our Lord's death,
Living Bread that gives life to man,
Grant my soul to live on You,
And always to savor your sweetness.
Lord Jesus, Good Pelican,
clean me, the unclean, with Your Blood,
One drop of which can heal
the entire world of all its sins.
Jesus, whom now I see hidden,
I ask You to fulfill what I so desire:
That the sight of Your Face being unveiled
I may have the happiness of seeing Your glory. Amen.

Adoro-te devotamente, ó Divindade escondida,
que verdadeiramente se esconde sob estas aparências.
A ti sujeita-se o meu coração por inteiro
Pois ao te contemplar tudo desfalece.

A vista, o tato e o gosto falham em relação a Vós,
mas só com o ouvir-te firmemente creio.
Creio em tudo o que disse o Filho de Deus,
nada mais verdadeiro do que esta Palavra da Verdade.

Na Cruz estava oculta somente a tua Divindade,
mas aqui se esconde também a Humanidade.
Eu, porém, crendo e confessando ambas,
peço-te o que pediu o ladrão arrependido.

Tal como Tomé, também eu não vejo as tuas chagas,
mas confesso, Senhor, que és o meu Deus;
faz-me crer sempre mais em ti,
esperar em ti, amar-te.

Ó Memorial da Morte do Senhor,
Pão Vivo que dás vida ao homem,
faz que meu pensamento sempre de ti viva,
e que sempre lhe seja doce este saber.

Terno pelicano, Senhor Jesus
lava-me a mim, imundo, com teu Sangue,
do qual uma só gota já pode salvar
o mundo de todos os pecados.

Jesus, a quem agora vejo sob véus,
peço-te que se cumpra o que mais anseio:
que vendo o teu rosto descoberto,
seja eu feliz contemplando a tua glória. Amém.
