Luke 12:35-48 "Be Ready"

One day, the world…after enduring seven years of death and destruction known as the Great Tribulation…brought about by Satan and his Antichrist…
Will look to the heavens as Jesus returns with all the saints to rule and reign on this earth for 1,000 years.
Listen…this world had a beginning, and it will have an end.
One day Jesus will come and disrupt the history of man… whether you are prepared for it or not…
And He can interrupt history…because it has always been His story.
But before that happens…Before the Tribulation comes upon this Christ-rejecting world…before the world sees Him coming in the air to judge the living and the dead…
Jesus will come for His bride the church…we call that the rapture of the church…and the difference between His second coming and the rapture is…
At the rapture those who are in Christ will be caught up to meet Him in the air…only those He calls out of this earth will see Him.
At the second coming all who are on the earth will see Him and as His feet will touch down on the MT. of Olives from which He ascended.
And every eye will look upon Him Who was pierced…every knee will bow before Him…and every tongue will confess that He is Lord!
In our passage of Scripture this morning Jesus is clearly telling us to be ready…warning us not to be caught off guard…
But what is He telling us to be ready for?
The Rapture!
It is called our blessed hope…but sadly many Christians do not believe that Jesus is coming back for His church.
