Owls are so cute

Owls' eyes and ears are very special. Their eyes are large, but their eyes will not rotate, so they should observe the movement around by rotating their heads. The owl's head can rotate 270 degrees, and it can observe the surrounding conditions without moving its body, which is very beneficial for it not to disturb nearby prey in the silent night.

The ear holes of owls are two deep long seams. Around the ears, there are short and hard feathers, which play the role of collecting sound. Moreover, the positions of the two ear holes are asymmetric, and the right side is slightly higher than the left side. In this way, the dislocation effect of the sound on both sides can be obtained, which is convenient for quickly correcting the distance and position of the sound source.

In addition, the maximum receptive area of owl's ears is between 3000 and 6000 Hz, while human beings only have about 1000 Hz. Therefore, owls can clearly hear faint sounds that human beings cannot hear.
