The Civil Unrest in America is Just Beginning

With the day to day news about the unrest in the wake of the death of George Floyd slowing, I decided to take a step back and reflect on what exactly is going on in America and what the future holds. The death of George Floyd was the pretext for this most recent unrest, but not the cause. And no, policing isn't necessarily the cause either. The root cause in my view is the inability of the centralized American political system to deal with the diverse array of issues which vary by locality. Therefore we should expect more unrest in the future over different issues which the political system is also unable to solve.
