JAMES NIX, JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA FACES AGGRAVATED ANIMAL CRUELTY FOR DEFENDING AGAINST ROOSTER ATTACK

James Nix who lives in Jacksonville, Florida is facing aggravated animal cruelty charges because his neighbor's rooster attacked him

I'm on his side but, his defense seems to be it's just a chicken but it's actually a lot more then that, this is animal cruelty vs defending yourself against an animal's hostile nature that's being ignored by the owner, why wasn't that bird in a cage if it attacks people ?

He swung a stick at it to defend himself and accidentally hit the head and killed it, this rooster had a history of attacking people yet the owner failed to control his animals and now is "the victim"

My opinion is the owner of the rooster is the person that needs fines and/or jail time for pain and suffering from anyone that has had to deal with his out of control animals NOT the people being attacked
