Local ‘Sakha Morzhi’ winter swimming club members bathed in a baptismal font in honour of the Epiphany holiday at minus 43 degrees Celsius in Yakutsk on Wednesday.

"Generally, you have to get ready for a swim like this from the summer. You should always go for it calmly and smoothly. But of course, now I've had a swim in the snow. I'll go back in [to the snow] after the ice hole - acupuncture will start. And this is health," chairman of the ‘Sakha Morzhi’ winter club Nikolai Sofroneev noted.

‘Sakha Morzhi’ in Yakutsk consists of 20 people. Its members take a dip in an ice hole almost every day.
