Former French soldier Adrien Bocquet, who’s fought in Ukraine as a mercenary, and claims to have witnessed war crimes committed by Kiev’s forces, has told Sud Radio of the infamous Azov battalion's political leanings.

“Here is the Azov emblem, it is the same emblem used by the SS battalion. The Azov emblem is a neo-Nazi symbol of the SS and the Third Reich,” he said, adding, “How can France and Europe justify the fact that a neo-Nazi battalion is being provided with weapons and ammunition?"
