Naftali Bennett, leader of the United Right-wing coalition, was sworn in as Prime Minister of Israel's new government on the evening of the 13th.
Netanyahu's 12 consecutive years in power ended. On April 6, then-President Rivlin authorized Netanyahu to form a new government, but it failed to successfully form a cabinet before the deadline.
