Luke 24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. And behold two of them went ‘in,’ is also in the text, went in that same day, that's the day we refer to as Easter Sunday, to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem, about threescore furlongs. It was a Sabbath day's journey.
And they, verse 14 these two they talked together about all these things which had to happen in Jerusalem. They had been in Jerusalem. They had heard, they had seen and then they talked about this. To me it's real human, real down to earth. Those of you have been at Poima this weekend. You see, you can go back home and you can talk about it. You've been there. So they, these two men, were discussing these things.
Verse 15. And it came to pass while they communed, while they talked together these things. And as they reason about it, they were human and they said, Boy, I just don't understand why could that have happened? Why did this happen? Why did that? They reasoned, they tried to think it all through. Jesus Himself drew near and went with them and their eyes were holding that they should not recognize him. Somehow or other this resurrected body can and is in a form, or may be placed in a form, where you could be with your best friend and they would never know it was you. That would be sort of nice, huh? That's what happened here.
