Erin Molan says Twitter is a “cesspit of so much filth”.
Ms Molan’s remarks come after Tesla CEO Elon Musk abandoned his $64 billion deal to take over the social media platform after its reluctance to hand over the estimates of how many bots and spam accounts there are.
Twitter now intends to sue the billionaire.
“Those of us who have attempted to address violations of fairness, decency, truth and legal norms with these online mega-platforms will find Twitter's dodging and weaving familiar,” Ms Molan said.
“They know that revealing the full extent of what is really going on – what is true, what is false, what is real, what is fake – could render the whole platform completely worthless.”
She said for too long massive companies such as social media tech giants have taken “zero responsibility” for the welfare of their users and have significantly profited from the “misery” their products can cause.
“Twitter, in my opinion, is the worst of the lot.”
