E13: Cabin Roof Injury & Where To Move Next? Oh! Armenian Tonir

I moved to Texas a year ago and am trying to go off grid in the near future. I was building a tiny cabin as a guesthouse and a practice to learn all that I need to know, to be able to build my real tiny home. I am also tapping into gardening and homesteading while building. This is a challenge to self, so I am building and doing all of the choirs alone for as much as possible, and sometimes using help when people visit me and want to contribute.
I hope to be fully sustainable in two years by growing my own food, dig my own well water and go off-grid with electricity. However, Texas flatness, heat and pests make gardening or building quite unpleasant, therefore I will be searching for a new land and a new state to move to and pick up where I left off.
