Among the birds, there are many words describing the romantic feelings and the pursuit of good wishes of lovers in the poetry culture. But one of the most frequently mentioned words is: in heaven, I wish to be a winged bird, and on earth, I wish to be a LIANLI branch. This poem is from the song of everlasting regret by Bai Juyi, a poet of the Tang Dynasty: when there is no whisper in the hall of eternal life at midnight on July 7. On high, we'd be two birds flying wing to wing. On earth, two trees with branches twined from spring to spring. In this ancient poem, Bai Juyi used "birds with wings" and "even twigs" to compare the sad story of Emperor Li Longji of the Tang Dynasty and the empress Yang Yuhuan of the imperial concubine and the unswerving vow to die in romance.
