They better accelerate their efforts because people are waking up.

Either they are going to stick their guns or begin taking a running start because people are figuring out what they have done to humanity. They will try to maintain a polite society but it looks like that won't happen so now they have to accelerate their efforts. The compliant leaders look like they will pay for what was done.
