My dad was fortunate enough to bid on our football films from 1970 during a fundraiser for the Tiger Booster Club, probably in the early 1980s. Curtis Still had borrowed the films some years before and made a VHS tape copy for the players to purchase but my copy had gotten lost over the years. My sister had salvaged the films and saved them for me. We moved to Iron River, Michigan in June 2022 and I had to throw a lot of stuff away that had accumulated over the years, but I saved the 4 films from our victories in 1970.

ScanCafe from Indiana (yes, I supported an American small company!) did the digital conversion for me of the first two films. They charge $.30/foot to convert 16mm and I had over 700 feet in the Kirksville game and the Macon game, but it was well worth it. All things considered; I believe they did a great job.

The win over Kirksville was monumental for a number of reasons. The film is blurry in some places and there are some parts of the game missing but the important stuff is all here: Our two scores, Kirksville's one score, our fumble recoveries (we lost no fumbles) and our pass interceptions (we lost no interceptions) and a couple of plays that, had things been different, might have led to two more Marceline scores.

To make it more enjoyable, I have added some crowd noise and 'Mizzou' music to make it more 'live'. Thanks to freesound and their contributors jhouse4 and tosha73 for their recording of a soccer game and an audience prior to a concert.
