Scores of people took part in the Siat Api 'fire war' tradition, involving traditional dancing and ceremonies, in Duda village in Bali on Monday.
The yearly tradition is said to strengthen the sense of connection between participants, like an even more heated version of relationship counseling.
Participants were seen beating each other with torches of burning, bunched coconut leaves in one of the highlights of the tradition.
