Stan's watering contraption: 6-13-20

Lori Fiechter here again on a chilly Indiana morning in June. I don't mind--the forecast shows close to 90 degrees again in a few days so I'll enjoy the respite. The dry hot weather has really been hard on some of the plants--Stan has spent a lot of time watering. He dug out his PVC pipe contraption for watering the potatoes--since we put straw around them, the water doesn't run off quite so quickly. (Soaker hoses never seem to work for us...) He drilled holes in the pipes, put them together with connectors, and hooked them up to the garden hose. He had to plus some of the hoses closest to the hose end because the water was coming out too quickly there and only trickling at the far end. It works pretty well now--he might even make another one.
