Landslide in the Peru buried dozens of homes on March 15

A landslide in the Peruvian Andes buried dozens of homes on March 15, state media reported.

The landslide was in the town of Retamas, in the La Libertad province of Pataz.

“The first reports speak of missing persons, including three minors, in addition to between 60 and 80 homes that would have ended up buried by the landslide,” the state-owned Andina news agency said.

Peruvian Defense Minister Jose Luis Gavidia told El Comercio that at least 15 people were missing.
