7.3-magnitude and 6.4-magnitude earthquakes hit east Japan, tsunami warning issued

Two powerful 7.3-magnitude and 6.4-magnitude quakes jolted east Japan on Wednesday (March 16, local time 23:36 & 23:34) night, rattling the capital Tokyo and prompting a tsunami advisory, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The shaking lasted more than two minutes.
The earthquakes hit the Myagi and Fukushima prefectures.
Authorities warned residents in Fukushima, Miyagi and Yamagata prefectures to expect aftershocks.
