Lessons in Liberty: Aaron Burr on Intent in Laws

It is important to know the intent of laws that are created by our government. When a law is "Boldly Asserted" but not "Positively Maintained", tyranny results. It is the responsibility of each citizen to monitor the actions of elected officials to be sure that the guidelines and limits outlined in the Constitution are strictly adhered to. If we fail in our duty to do this, it opens the door to the self-serving activities our current elected officials are noted for using to line their own bank accounts in exert tyrannical power over the citizenry.

If you are disapproving of what is currently happening with legislation in the country, it is YOUR responsibility to take matters into control, using LEGAL, NON-VIOLENT, and most importantly, EFFECTIVE methods to initiate change. The obvious "GO-TO" activities of complaining and name-calling on Social Media, engaging in violence or demonstrations that only make a lot of noise that is ignored by citizens and government officials alike, or choosing "not to get involved" have not resolved the problems our country faces. It is time to REALLY get involved by engaging in activities that will make a difference. There are ways to be heard that do not destroy what Americans hold dear, but it is time we step up to the plate and take action that actually will mean something by being EFFECTIVE.
