Ocean Grove NJ fishing pier

My hubby took this video in Ocean Grove NJ. Ocean Grove NJ got voted 4th best beach in the world by Fodor's. We have been going to Ocean Grove for a few decades before it became popular. In fact it was a ghost town for many years and not many people knew about it. Now they have tour buses going through there. They have shuttle buses pick people up at the train station because there is hardly any parking in town any more.
The Pier in Ocean Grove was destroyed by hurricane Sandy. The Town rebuilt it themselves Ocean Grove is a private town and non profit organization. There are no amusements and you have to pay to get on the beach.
It might be our favorite beach town. We go in heat waves but now everybody else does too. It is much cooler than any other beach we have been to. We have had to leave many times because it is so cold there even in a heat wave. I found this about the reason why.
It's courtesy of the sea breeze effect. National Weather Service meteorologist Walter Drag explains that it occurs due to the difference between the warm air over land and cool air hovering over the ocean.
But all other beaches have that too but are not as cold as Ocean Grove. The cool temperature remains a mystery.
