There is no opportunity to carry out a humanitarian operation in Mariupol yet: Kremlin

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, decided to create the administration of the city of Mariupol, which, according to his decree, should ensure the development and approval of the regulation on local authorities.

It is not yet possible to carry out a humanitarian operation in Mariupol, which the presidents of Russia and France spoke about by phone, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

On March 29, Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with Emmanuel Macron, said that in order to resolve the difficult humanitarian situation in the city, Ukrainian military personnel must lay down their arms.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, about 7,000 fighters are still resisting here. During heavy fighting, the inhabitants of Mariupol had to hide in cellars for several weeks. The first trucks with humanitarian aid from Russia arrived in the city on March 20.
