CHOP Over!! | BLM Groups Paid By City to Leave (per Antifa) | Vacate Deadline June 29 I Podcast

I recorded a podcast at my office immediately after an interview I had with "John" who indicated he was from Antifa. The interview was on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at CHOP. The day after the deal had been allegedly cut between BLM Protest Groups and the City of Seattle.

After an hour-long YouTube live streaming session at CHOP on Wednesday, June 24th, I was approached by a man who called himself John who said he was from Antifa. We were at the SW corner of Cal Anderson Park in the CHOP area of Seattle's Capitol Hill. He asked if I knew what the real deal was going on with CHOP and why it was being shut down. I had spent the previous hour running into crazy homeless people spouting off ridiculous things so I was skeptical at first. I have a video of the first 5 minutes of our interview.

"John" indicated that the City of Seattle was diverting 5% of the 2020 Seattle Police Budget of $409 million to a coalition of Black Lives Matter Groups under a new "committee" or "committees". So $20 million was being paid out to these groups. The protest groups were basically paid off to dismantle CHOP. The area had become too much of a liability with 4 people shot in 4 days with one deceased and another still in the hospital in critical care. The City of Seattle took this opportunity to divert funds to the groups to make the situation go away, meet some of the protestors' demands, and possibly also divert funds elsewhere. It's really unclear at this point. But something has obviously taken place at CHOP which has changed the landscape of the area overnight. The only thing that makes sense is a deal and a payout. Enough money can solve a lot of demands.

The three things the BLM protestors are demanding which can be seen on a sign at the entrance of CHOP: 1. Defund the police by 50% now 2. Fund Black Communities 3. Free all protestors

So the BLM protestors will "kind of" get 2 out of 3 of their demands met by this payout negotiation with the City of Seattle.

The actual payout number paid to the BLM groups has been claimed to be as high as $80 million with rumors that much of the money is being diverted to the Democratic Party.

I have no way of either proving or disproving much of this but what I do know is this: CHOP was rapidly being dismantled the day I was there Wednesday, June 24. It had gone from raging protests to people packing up awnings, equipment, and tents into rental U Haul Vans. There were much fewer people in general. CHOP had the feeling of a long hazy 4-day music festival that was packing up and going home on a holiday Monday. You can watch this in my live streaming session YouTube video here: https://youtu.be/6ujU9c_Nvx4

And all this literally happened overnight. John from Antifa claimed the deal by the City of Seattle and the various protest groups was "signed" at 3 pm on Tuesday, June 23. This made sense with the activities I saw going on the very next day, the number of people who had left, and the amount of work taking CHOP down that had already been accomplished. You could literally see the imprints of protestor tents that had been freshly removed from the park areas. There were very few protestors left. The only people really walking around were the homeless and curious "tourists". The protestors have been given until Monday, June 29 to be gone from the CHOP zone. The Seattle Police Department will be able to retake their East Precinct located within CHOP without opposition from the protest groups.

We will see how this all unfolds!!
