RULES:
The rules are the same as regular chess, except for these changes. Layout a 5x6 board with the lighter squares in the bottom corners. Place white's pawns on the 2nd row and on the first row setup: Queen, king, bishop, knight, rook. Mirror this setup for black. Pawns are not allowed their initial double-step move option, therefore En passant is not allowed. Pawns may only promote to a higher piece you have captured. If you have none, you may not move the pawn to the farthest row. You are not allowed to castle. The first player to checkmate their opponent, wins.
